Me? Domestic Diva?

So I did it.  I'm now the proud Organizer of Domestic CEO's, a website dedicated to making your home run more smoothly and efficiently.  Ha!  If only!

I figure it's actually a good fit.  Because I teeter on the edge of domestic chaos on a pretty regular basis, that makes me more like the members who join my group.  We can all help each other, right?

The group was previously run by my friend Wendy.  Wendy the Domestic Goddess who has actually met Martha Stewart in person and appeared on her show.  Whether she's truly a DG, or she was on the show because she so desperately needed help doesn't really matter.  She met Martha!  And love her or hate her, it's pretty cool to have met Martha.  And those are the shoes I'm filling there.  So far all I've done is approved a new member and rearranged the message boards.  Well, I also kicked out five people who hadn't visisted the site in more than a year.  A year!  Now I'm full of exciting plans to email the membership and ask them to update their profiles, jump into some discussions and get things moving again.

Just as soon as I get some cool stuff on the calendar.  Weekly reminders of deep cleaning tasks, monthly ideas for taming the clutter, that kind of stuff.  The only problem is, I'm just not that organized.  I don't have a weekly schedule of stuff I do.  I'm lucky to get laundry done every three weeks.  I just buy new socks and underwear instead.

So the plan is, forge ahead.  Visualize the Domestic Goddess I want to be, then be it.  Post events as i I do them... then wail on the Message Board how difficult it is to actually do them.  Ask for success stories and helpful hints.  Will it work?  Time will tell.  But it'll all look good on paper!
